Most people like to find a good vantage point. A place where you can see far, see things from above, see things from below, get a better look, or just see more of everything at once.

That’s why we take the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City. That’s why we’d all like to stay at the Park Hyatt, high above the streets of Tokyo. That’s why we stand and gape at the edge of the Grand Canyon in the United States, or at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, or on the trail to Machu Picchu in Peru.

When you stand there, right on the edge, there is a good chance you will say something like: “This sure is a nice view!”
